I am sad about Paris but Islam has nothing to do with it. not all muslims want or believe sharia law is the word of God. not all muslims want to impose sharia law on the countries they are in. some only apply it personally, out of faith and orthodoxy.

I had Muslim babysitter (stayed at her house) when I was little and her family was the nicest family I've ever known. They didn't force their religion on me as a kid or anything like that and they made amazing food. One day my mom happened to run a stop sign and hit my babysitter (her car) and she was humble about the entire event as if it was partly her fault when it was clearly, entirely, my mom's fault.
Because of my experience as a child I cannot view true Muslims as violent or evil and it almost disgusts me to think about how hard they must be struggling in society today, with all the hate against Muslims.
I don't like religion and I do believe it, as a whole, breeds violence and hate. But some people need religion. There are also some people who are religious and are still good people. I don't like religion, but that doesn't mean I don't like people who are religious. _________________
