How do I cheat?

I'm trying to mod a game that runs using the Unreal Engine 4.
So far I've managed to find XYZ, however when changing it - it keeps resetting me to original position.
What can I do to remain there? Without using the active check box.
I heard there are consoles, how would I enable it or find it?
Please note, i am really new to this.. i used to mod game coins, but this is another level lol

Are you sure you found the correct address?
After freezing the value for awhile and then unfreezing, do you stay in that spot?
If not, you only found the coordinates of your camera, not your player.

it basically moves my character then resets to the position.
i scanned for pointer, found 69k of them lol i.imgur. com/l7H7aON.png
when running "find out what writes to this" this came up after walking up somewhere in game: i.imgur. com/u3iu5Jf.png

You probably found the "copy" address.
Or
The game has the values stored registers and has a compare attached to it.
Also if its online you just cant. Your map coords are stored on the server. This would totally explain your ability to jump there and then immediately jump back to your original location.

it indeed is online, however are there no way to like update the server with my new position? most online games lets me change xyz, then it updates the server.. this seems kinda weird

Yeah but its complicated. You could sniff out packets which is above my pay grade.
Or try using your jump in combination with some old school lag tricks.

Then most of the games you played were either single-player games with multiplayer addons (so stuff is client-side to begin with) or the people who wrote it cheaped out to avoid higher server costs by having the clients calculate things for them (seen in older Korean MMOs).
Of course what "Online game" means varies, so...

thanks, i assume that's what gta is.. signle player but ability to go online ok
so are there no ways i can obtain this easily, or any other unreal hacks? i heard there is console, no idea how to open it though..
