The story, pacing and choreography has actually been great. Meanwhile, the animation looks like a special Olympian picked up some pencils and started drawing. The voice acting is overall very bad, but at least they finally gotten rid of King Kai's actor and replaced him.

Pilaf and his gang gotten very annoying and ultimately just was wasting everyone's time. The Goku vs Beerus fight did drag on a bit too long, but it out-classed the movie in the overall progression and choreography, if only skilled animators actually drew them...

Here is a great amv summing up the Battle of Gods arc:

It's been out for months and Funimation hasn't even licensed it yet, let alone announced plans for a dub.

It's Dragon Ball, there's going to be a dub...
Just think of it like the anime itself hasn't even released yet, until it's dubbed. DBZ Japanese voice actors have always been awful (at least for their characters) and it seriously damages the experience.

dubbed really takes out a lot of the feel in an anime i think. just my experience, but I haven't watched anything in years.

Up2 is right, Dragon Ball has dreadful casting in the Japanese version. Elderly women voice over muscle-meat heads, and it just makes you cringe. Not only is the casting bad, so are the actors. They have no emotion in their voice.

The dub has a handful of good voice actors: Sean Schemmel, Chris Sabat, Justin Cook, and Kyle Herbert. Not only does the dub have good actors, but they cast them right too. Goku and Vegeta actually sounds like men.

Dragon Ball was good subbed, up until the last few eps when Goku was a man, but still had a kid's voice.
