Well the point of renouncing citizenship is so you don't have any obligations under the constitution such as taxes, the US in particular has strict laws that could lead to you to paying income tax in 2 countries.
And in addition to protecting you from the citizen-specific laws, it would remove your right to vote so you can't affect the country, e.g. in the US it'd be easier to focus on the founding tenets of this Country which gave birth to the Constitution, those being the Protection of; Equality, Life, Liberty, and the freedom to Pursue Happiness for all our people. 1 to all of which, many of the Religiously Zealous, Racist, Homophobic, and/or Xenophobic crowds, like those against immigrants, like to try to deny to large portions of our people, mostly with disinformation.

Islam is ridiculous and anyone who is intelligent should know that forcing Islamic practices on anyone is fucking stupid and should never be done. I can't stand apologetics and sympathizers for Islam. In America, Islam dies when the constitution begins. Allow the Islamic refugees to enter the 1st world countries but don't give them any special rights or privileges BECAUSE they are Muslim and refugees, that's just retarded.

also by remaining a US citizen you, don't have to reapply to become one again, you can visit frequently and you are still protected by the US.

I not sure why you posted the same link a second time, but I was referring to the the it removes your right to vote so you can't affect changes that impact our the foundations listed portion.
Anyway, how about; What if we, the US, shifted a State's status from State to territory, like Puerto Rico, changing resident taxation to fit it's territorial status and removed representation for the new territory. You receive the protections of citizenship, pay less taxes, but no longer vote. Agreeable place to take up residency?
