do yourselves a favor and go bash other people's work on your own forum and leave the real coders and professionals alone. when you can put out your own working trainer (and SELL IT!), then you can try to see if those of us WHO ACTUALLY DO THIS AND MAKE MONEY WITH IT actually give a crap what you think or say.

kudos to all the trainer makers out there who do the actual work. double kudos to those of you who made the step to get a little renumeration back for your hard work. no disrespect to coders and those who are making an attempt to try and do something yourself, or to learn. to the rest of you sorry pieces of crap who come on here and bash others and act like you actually mean anything, when truly you are nothing more than worthless leech beggars, then piss off..

you already lost if you continue to harass us like this instead of having a civil conversation about the problem we are talking about, this is why most people also dislike paying paid trainers if the seller has a hostile attitude towards those who buy or not buy your tables/trainers.

Thanks to your open hostility from both of you guys, I don't think I would buy any your products, and not just your hostile attitude that you just unleashed upon me for no apparent reason, your product don't offer anything very special that makes me want to buy it, you guys need some serious therapy, and better ideas on how to make your tables/trainers stand out.

If DarkByte have not made cheat engine, someone else would of done something similar, someone who is inspired by artmoney and would make something else, however this is a "what if" scenario and does not reflect upon reality because cheat engine has already happened, and it's still going strong with no signs of stopping.

We actually do thank alot of the people who make these tables/trainer, when I look at Mrantifun, I see alot of people who ask for updates, and receive tons of thanks when he delivers. I sometimes thank alot of people for making their tables/trainers as well, and cooperate with them to help fix some of the bugs off of their table and posted my results if any of them work, and talk to them about other editions that other people besides myself could help with. I help out on testing out the new things as well.

I always go with the tables that got the most options that I am able to use, and lucky the ones that provided the most for me is the free tables, as I look at the other tables that are not free, I see the same options that the free ones actually has contain nothing special that makes me want to buy it... I think Recifense for making the tables for most of the RTS games that I play, I think Shinkensen for digging though every stat he could find in the game, and making table to help us modify it, expectantly his dynasty warriors tables and the latest nobunaga's ambition: spheres of influences. I give thanks to Cielos for giving us tables for our latest RPG games and other older games out there that are supported by GOG.com, and I also give thanks to every other individual who offer up their tables for us to use and tinker around with, and we try our best to get it running for most people as well as helping out the table/trainer developers with anything we can possibly do...

What I love the most in these forums is that people are more FRIENDLY and CALM, and CIVIL. they don't spew hatred, don't call us "welfare hobos" or anything borderline harassment over a simple question. They are beyond that, and they are more open towards suggestions till they say they are done with the whole entire game in question.

I really don't care if you sell it or not, if it is good trainer then it is good and should be appreciated, doesn't matter if coder is 12 year old bragger or squieker, or 30 year veteran who knows all the tricks. Leave his personality and his ways of selling his product away from here, of course it is big plus if guy understand that some people cannot do more than "Thank you" because this or that, some people barely can afford to buy that game in first place.

Why, in my day, if a man wanted a trainer, he would go out to the trainer mines and he would assemble that shit from raw memory ore. And he would get paid a nickel. It was hard work, people died. STN put out a FREE trainer. In fact HIS FREE TRAINER has more options than MOST from paid developers. Either take it or leave it. This entire discussion was born out of people who can't code, haven't made a trainer, havent posted ANYTHING FREE, opening their big mouths and denigrating another person's work. And why do they do this? Because they would have to PAY for the trainer that has more options.

Oh the horrors of CAPITALISM, where a person gets paid for their labor, instead of slaving away for whiny leeches for nothing.

I have no disrepect for trainer makers and coders.. those who did the work (unless they are ripping MY work and methods). My confusion lies with them endlessly providing trainers and options to whiny leeches who dont appear to appreciate it and doing it for nothing. It's their choice, and if they are doing it 'for fun', then who am I to tell them any different. It still doesn't reduce my disdain for leeches who go into these forums and act like they are entitled to all of this stuff.

Look at NewMember005 posts, his every post is an attempt to get "a rise" out of me, i am not supposed to get angry even when they are actively attacking me, my trainers and my team, that is troll tactic #1. Of course i have to get angry, every normal person will get angry. Just for the record, I'm not banned on either of the Terraria forums.

Since you were not involved in the situation I can enlighten you on what happened. I decided after all of the non-sense demands of updates, constant complaints on something breaking just after an update, and the lack of thanks in return for my efforts, I would attach a donation onto the applications I make. (Not just Terraria, but other games as well.)

When I updated the links to download the editor on the forums, it was reported by a bunch of kids that typically never say thanks to anything they download. The moderators reviewed the topic and found it violated Curses terms of service. Not Terraria's. "Charging" for the editor broke a rule that Curse imposes on all the third-party sites it hosts that I was not aware of. Content may not be sold from third-parties on their hosted sites. (And this solely exists to protect Curses assets and allow them to make all the money / profile on their own site. Which is understandable.) There was no rule broken against Terraria's terms of conditions or its forum guidelines.

I was contacted, on both forums, by the moderators. They explained the situation, told me both topics would be locked, and that they asked I did not repost things afterward. They wished me the best with my editor and complimented it, like civil people. I respected their wishes and stopped posting on the forums altogether since I have 0 interest in the game itself and my editor and other Terraria tools cannot be posted there now.

I can login and post still if I want. Nothing of the sort from what you think happened actually did.

STN, Caliber and I have our differences from past endeavors, and I do not agree with the way the two of them are presenting themselves in this thread. However I do agree with some of the points they make about people feeling self-entitled to demand things of trainer makers and bashing those whom ask for a small kick-back for their work.

I lost interest in releasing things entirely free over time due to the fact that people only ever seem to give feedback, thanks, etc. when things break and they want to complain about it. For example, some tools of mine have a tendency to break due to being for MMORPGs where the code of the game often changes and AOB's/patterns can change due to the updates. While I usually have everything I make fixed within an hour of a game update, people still come and bitch.

For other countless days were the tool(s) are fine, they say nothing. They come, they download, they leave. No thanks is given, no donations are given. They just flock to the download link, and leave. Then for that one single hour after an update where something is broken, they flood for the forums to complain. Be it a simple "doesn't work anymore" type post, down to the typical "this shit sucks", "fuck you your shit sucks", "this is broken 'x' is better", etc. type posts. It makes trainer makers really not enjoy the time and effort spent on making their work.

Do some people handle this type of thing differently? Sure. Dark Byte could easily ask for money to use Cheat Engine. Much like other memory scanners out there that charge for either the whole package or a pro edition. However he decides not to. Does that make him better then say, Artmoney? No. Just means that he tolerates and handles the criticism better and either just ignores it, or goes about it differently.

The point is, people that develop things and make it themselves have the right to decide how to release their work. Be it a donation based model, a payment / subscription model, completely free, etc. It is entirely up to that developer to decide. They made the work, they created the product, its their decision in the long run. How they handle expressing that is up to them as well but I would encourage STN and Caliber to take a step back and really read their own posts here and see how it does not really do them much good in terms of public relations and their brands.

I'm not here to debate things or have a post war back and forth. So I'm not going to bother replying to anything more. For those that having issues with people charging for their work, I would recommend really thinking about being in their shoes. Put yourself in their position. Think of how you would feel if people did things like this to you for your hard work and effort. Couple that with years and years of doing it and putting up with it. It is easy to jump to judgement saying you would do differently, at face value, but really think about it if you had to deal with it for years on end.

I'm not saying you are wrong or cannot have your own opinion on it, but before you do lash out and express that opinion try and picture yourself on the other side of the table.

STN's MGS5PP trainer costs $5 and has only 8 options. CheatHappens premium membership costs $60 for year or $100 for a lifetime and CH's MGS5PP trainer has 16 options. In addition, premium members will have access to all their trainers released and not only to one. Basically, buying 12 different trainers from STN will cost same as one year membership at CheatHappens without no limit to downloaded trainers. You see STN, if only your trainer was more advanced and had more options then one at CheatHappens, I would've considerer buying yours. But it isn't.
