Every corner of the internet I seem to find quite a bit of hate on feminism. Why? It is a fact that women are under-represented in America, and even worse globally. Why are people against equal treatment of women?

| Everybody has right to be feminist or to hate feminists or to have opinion about hating feminists, but nobody in that line can't do anything besides telling everybody what they think and I find that funny. Why does everybody have to tell their opinion to others when nobody is willing to change their opinion.

We have all walked in different shoes and have lived different lives. Your unique life experiences are what makes people have unique opinions. It's pretty naive to think that people only speak but not hear. If we didn't hear out others, we wouldn't be able to form unique opinions to begin with. Humans are sheep, we are all influenced by each other.

People aren't against equality of women, they typically just don't like the general image of a "feminist". Even though, semantically speaking, a feminist is someone who thinks that women should have equal rights as men, typically people think of images of pixie-cut, pastel-color haired college students yelling about how men are scum and evil, etc.
Even though it is definitely a small subset of the genuine movement, it is the loudest, and that's why it garners the most attention. The same applies to the people you're talking about, in that most people pay little-to-no mind to feminism in itself, as I believe most people favor egalitarianism as a whole these days anyway. The only people that are talking about feminism as an "evil" are a small, but loud subset of people voicing their opinions on another small, but loud subset of people, and generalizing the whole.
That's at least my best interpretation of it.

You definitely are right, the vocal minority doesn't represent the silent majority. Maybe I'm just browsing the wrong parts of the internet, but I see many more people against feminism than supporting it on the internet. It is sad because worldwide women are at the bottom, but the concept of feminism is seen as a joke. Even in the freest country in the world, America. Getting paid even a few cents less than a man just because of something you were born with is degrading and damaging their self esteem.
It saddens me that in 2015 only 14% of American CEOs are women, and 0% of US presidents are female. It saddens me that women can legally earn less than men, just because of the fact they are a woman. I honestly believe the worst oppressed group of people in America in 2015 are not gays, not blacks, not mexicans. They are women.

It's because retards have given the word feminism a bad name, think Muslims circa 2001 just because a few Muslims were terrorists doesn't mean that all are bad and are terrorists...
I'm all for women's rights, but i have problems with "feminists" and what that term has come to represent.
Also I think its stupid what most of the things they are fighting for in the modern age...
Lets be honest here there are some things men are more qualified at than women and vice versa. are there those people that could fit perfectly sure but we are talkin 90% majorities here...
Also a great example of stupid feministic things like spending hundreds of millions of dollars changing all work signs from "men at work" to "Women and Men at work" is not only stupid because of what it initially cost the time/work/money. When the phrase men at work clearly means Mankind working aka its a unisex term............
oh and lets not forget the completely stupid illogical and unnecessary bullshit going on in the gaming industry. with anita the retard.
claiming that women are like trophies in games so what if they are, its something men enjoy its not real life its a release just like all the top selling books in the US hello fifty shades of grey? how is man portrayed in that women fantasy novel? and millions of women fantasize over shit like that daily its their go to candy, just like video games are for most men
can both be both sure but the hating is just dumb
