I've accumulated bladder issues (occasional pain, nothing that shows up in tests) that I attribute to excessive use of dissociatives.
As for DXM alone, I wouldn't use it too much, Olney's Lesions. Basically microscopic potholes in your brain, permanent brain damage, zombie like walking, catatonia, sometimes it's just hard to "forget" dissociation, it sticks with you even when you've been off the drug for years.

I've had about four DXM "trips" in my life, spaced out over the course of two years. And I can say with absolute certainty that the chronic effects linger indefinitely, it's not like many other drugs which are over the day after.
It's not about lousy teens desperate for a quick legal high. If this were the case we wouldn't see powdered pure dxm on the market, which only yields recreational usage.
By the way, dxm does not really produce a "high" in all users. Dissociation is very different from intoxication and a euphoric high but rather, more experimental in nature.

ive done dxm like less than 10 times, and only ever 1st or light 2nd plat
i dont enjoy it very much, and mixing it with dph doesn't do anything for me for some reason, rather just stick with dph by itself (low doses) for chill bed time

DXM is not dysphoric by default, it can be though, like all drugs, however, that's diphenhydramine (DPH) you're thinking of. DPH "trips" are really just hypnagogic hallucinations experienced when your mind is in a state of delirium. The reason many combine DXM with DPH is to counter the symptoms of an allergic reaction encountered by many syrup users due to the colored dyes present, nicknamed the "Robo itch". There is evidence to suggest that this is in fact a psychological reaction, I didn't get it in all of my trips, only the ones where there was no music being played and no social interaction either, like when getting the shits on the toilet.
I wouldn't consider DXM to be inexpensive, potaters. Bottle at Shopper's here in Canada cost me $25.97 inclusive of all taxes. Many people disregard the research that attributes long term DXM use to chronic brain/liver scarring, and use it because people like you push the misunderstanding that DXM is not a "real drug", and hey, because it's legal, it can't be damaging, right? Wrong.

no its still people wanting to get high also known as changing their state of mind. the reason its not popular is because once someone tries it they realize how lackluster the experience is. but because they want to change their state of mind they end up going back to try it a few more times every so often. other people straight up abuse it specifically to get high out of desperation. |
Also, it's difficult to get addicted to DXM because of tolerance. Unlike other drugs, where you have to take a higher dose to "feel normal", in DXM, dissociation simply fails to amuse given enough doses, usually on a daily basis (Although at that stage, you're too brain damaged to enjoy anything anyway).

Coke's a bitch, even to people who simply just wanna know, or rather, "try" what it's like. The withdrawal symptoms are actually physical, one can actually nauseate and throw up simply from withdrawal. And I read online somewhere that cocaine withdrawal actually results in psychosis, but I'm not sure about that.
