So I finished the tut up to stage 7, and I get that. but its basic. now Im trying to make myself a trainer for games. when I scan for values I get 3-5 values, instead of 1. how do I narrow down to just 1 address? also when I go through scan > find out what writes > more info > hex address, I get several addresses to the 1 value, instead of 1. how do I narrow them down? or do I set a pointer to all? also if its the type of scan, how do I determine which scan I should use?
in SS I have provided what I have trouble with. I'm generally familiar with PC and instructions, but I just don't know what to do here. However in wargame, when I get x opcodes writes to this address, sometimes its more than 3, and different addresses that it writes to. I ended up making around 30 pointers, freezing them all and still didnt work. so help please? Any assistance i would appreciate, TYVM

If you mean when you scan, you get more than one address then simply narrow them down with Next Scan. If its just 3 addresses then modify all 3 of them and see which one changes the value in game.
If you are asking about code locations then you will get more than 1 code locations pop-up because that one address or cheat will be accessed and written to by many memory locations. Which one you use comes down to preference and the type of option you are trying to make. In the image you posted, there is an add and a sub, if i am feeling lazy i'd just nop that sub and the option would be done instead of writing a whole script. In some cases, you'd prefer to use a different instruction than the top one because the instructions around it offer a good signature to use in sigscanning or it has less hardcoded values than other instructions etc....
I am not sure what you are doing in the pictures you posted, 15238068 is this supposed to be a pointer ? if it is then you are not using it properly and of course changing its value won't do anything but mess up the pointer.

Hey thank you for the response . Sorry I wasn't clear on the SS, its the addresses for building units, and the total number for units built. (EG 4 soldiers at 6 space). Its easy enough to search and freeze I get that, but I want to make my own script.
ok so repeat scanning doesnt work, this is for cnc 4. it just gives the same 3 options over and over again. ill try for 5 minutes and see if that works. I do it 5-10 times with same 3 results.
ok so preference? as in what code I prefer to do, or what code is preferred by the game to execute its command? also writing a script, I will once I get the addresses I want. whats the difference between add and sub? adding when I build a unit and subtracting when I take away? so if I were to just build, and not cancel, it would only show an add instruction?
as for 15238068, no it is not a pointer, its the menu from when I selected 'what writes to this address'. both of the addresses in the table are the 2 addresses that i was left with after multiple scans
