How do I cheat?

| I'm trying to use it to get a ng+7 game in dark souls but it doesn't seem to work, boxes are unclickable, everytime I try to click on one only the windows "ding" sound is heared.

Actually, I recommend you buy the game and use the pirated version because the pirated one won't get patched without notice, and are often faster
As for the table not working, make sure it is for the exact same version as the game
Pirated copies are often not the latest version, so don't use the latest table, but instead the table that matches your version

Isn't there a risk of getting banned if I use it in the original game?

Mostly, you will get ban when cheating in on-line games.
Co-op games probably won't ban you.

Also, if just like me, you buy games off Steam, make sure not to get VAC banned because it's permanent and can't be removed, I heard that you can get banned even if you cheat offline to get the achievements.

On certain games you can. Anything Steam makes (TF2, Portal, CS, CS:S, CS:GO, etc.) are all viable to get you banned if you cheat your achievements. Anything else you are pretty much free and clear to cheat the achievements of without risk. But, given it is Valve, they may favor some companies or partner with some to enforce bans at random. So still edit with caution.

| I've tried to manually change some item values and it works, does anyone know which value do I have to change to edit the ng?
