I speak monotone and very slowly, yet stutter about every 8th word. It really gets in the way when I have job interviews, when my first impression is always my last.
Are any of you bad speakers? Any tips?

1: start your own business and use text only to communicate
2: pretend you're mute. it's better they never hear your voice. best option is go to a doctor and have your vocal cords removed(+people find mute people interesting)
3: perhaps with training you can improve it (honestly though, i gave up on that)

If you've got decent health insurance and you feel difficulty with verbal communication, I would advise you to hire a speech pathologist while you're still youngish. Out-of-pocket might be as little as $10/week.

i speak slowly and monotone, its not a bad thing, but the stuttering is a problem and makes your slow and monotone seem less like a personality trait and more like an impediment
try to figure out the cause of your stuttering, that'll be your first step in fixing it

In middle school I had a problem with mumbling my words so I would practice pronouncing words in a mirror and watching the way my mouth would move. It really helped me.
