|
|
I wrote a stupid little game in VS 2015 64 bit mode to work on 64-bit scripts and maybe write a tutorial, but I can't use CE to debug it. I can attach the debugger (by setting a breakpoint) and can 'Find out what accesses this address', but when the address is accessed I get the attached error window.
I compiled it in release mode and copied just the EXE to a different directory and shut down visual studio. Is 'conhost.exe' acting as a debugger for it or something? Are there some build settings I could change to let CE debug it?

| Do you also run CE in 64bit mode? Should usually start automatically when you're running a 64bit OS but just to make sure ...

| VEHDebugger did the same thing, and I always use the 64-bit version, just double-checked the shortcut and it goes to 'cheatengine-x86_64.exe'.

Im really not sure , but did you tried using the KernelMode Debugger?
for me - it does the work that VEH and winDbg can't do
