I don't know if there's an announcement already but google chrome is blocking my access to the forums telling me that it's harmful. Firefox doesn't seem to do it though

Cheat engine doesn't show in google search also. This is funny, they block a useful and perfectly safe site that even published its source code, yet they allow these shit**y trainer sites which are full of viruses and other crap.
Firefox and Bing search work fine.

I'm getting the warning, too. Here's the report that shows what Google says is the problem.

Read the report. The problem is not the forum or cheatengine site, the problem is that some users posting malware/links (mostly in the signiture) which is not allowed by google.

It shows up fine, google doesn't remove sites from searches anyway even if they contain malware for a good period of time, just show a warning. I don't know which trainer sites you are referring to but the sites with malware i have found have them hidden behind surveys and Google has no way to access the content behind those surveys.
Just ignore the warning, chrome's phishing protection is a joke anyway. Used to block trainers once or software that wasn't popular. Google should just search, thats what they are best at.

Well, I have noticed just now that if you are trying to use google translator on the forum, you get the same shit warning (regardless of browser).

The problem is that Google is deterring other people who aren't familiar with CE or its community, from following-through to the site. The fact of the matter is that Google is damaging the CE brand and community by showing that gaudy red page when someone tries to visit.
Unfortunately, Dark Byte is going to have to deal with the headache of getting Google to remove that. The quickest solution for the time being is to disable signatures and remove them from all posts (and make sure they can't still be crawled to somehow). That, or perhaps comb through the user db looking for the URLs Google has referenced in the report and delete them, as they may be in post replies instead of signatures.
It's a pain in the butt, but personal opinions of Google aside, ignoring this warning is going to do far more damage to the community than it's worth. And if CE is still a significant source of income for Dark Byte, then that's all the more reason to handle it.

It also happens when just trying to hit cheatengine.org, so you'd have to redirect the entire domain to .software if you wanted to do that; however, if the offending links are still on the site even after the forward/redirect, then Google will just keep hitting you for the same offense.

Yes, I doubt that moving the site would solve anything. Maybe you just need to pay x amount to get "verified", as it happens with some AVs too. Gotta love those blackmailing schemes from the AV mafia.

as i said, it's the cheatengine download they have issues with
the forum is hit because it's a subdomain
right now i'm talking with the advertiser company, and leaving messages at the brick wall that is google. (and they don't reply back)
more can't be done, and it's up to the personal feeling of one google employee if he likes ce or not (i bet i have to remove all cheat engine downloads till they're happy)

you sure it's not just the forum? There's still red flags for the download mirrors, which means that next week google can blacklist all subdomains again

Ah, yeah, the download on the main page still redirects to the malware warning, but just coming to the site in a new tab works fine now--home page and forum alike.
