Whenever Cheatengine Memory Viewer is open, the whole screen is affected by fairly faint patterns (which do not get recorded with print screen).

As I move the window I can see these patterns becoming more/less faint following the window.

I thought my monitor was broken at first. The lines are small and vertical but repeat in a definite pattern horizontally.

I think the line patterns are following the green address/byte lines in the memory viewer.

the hexview bottompart has vertical seperators every 4 byted in yellow. Is that what you mean?

what windows version? ressolution? High dpi or normal? And are themes enabled or disabled

it could be your graphics driver. Did you scan physical memory?

1. The bottom part (or maybe whole program) is interfering somehow with screen display creating weird light-dark patterns horizontally (looks to me like screen LEDs at the wrong brightness)

2. Windows 7 x64

3. Normal

4. Windows 7 Aero.

Resolution is 1920 * 1080

It isn't my drivers, since this is the only program that causes this issue. Graphic card is Nvidia GTX 760

Does the problem persist if you change the OS theme to classic?

When you move the window, do the lines move with CE, or do they stay in place?

As per first post, they move.

I read your first post more than once. It wasn't very clear.

But good luck with your problem.

is your display connected using dvi, hdmi or vga? And what is the refresh rate?
what happens when you move a screenshot of the memoryview slowly over the screen? Do the artifacts appear sometimes?

you seem to be the only person with this issue, so it might be a hardware thing (that only ce seems to trigger)

The artifacts are never recorded by screenshot. They always appear depending on where CE main window and especially Memory viewer are. Screen shots do nothing to the position of the patterns.

I am connected with HDMI, 60 Hz.

It's no big deal anyway, as long as it isn't doing any real damage. But there is some issue here....

I know that they are not recorded by screenshots, but what I meant is if the screenshot of the ce gui (memview) is at the same spot where it does show patterns if it was the normal ce gui, then it may be some kind of display 'optimization' going wrong. (it may detect the rows of hexadecimal data as something that needs to be processed)

(if you where paranoid you could say that the hexview image triggers a backdoor in your monitors' firmware causing it to execute the commands there, which are gibberish)
