Well oky, here is to start of. So i am playing a fishing game oky, and each time i reel out a fish, i get the weight value for example 15lbs.09oz.
Next fish i reel out would be 10lbs.19oz.
How do i search for those values and make my next fish be 19lbs.00oz for example??
I know how to find ammo, health and all those Single Base values. But how do i find xx.xx values??
And can i make my next fish be the amount i want it to be?? Or cant those things be changed??

Scan for the value as a Double.
Should be able to find it then.

Well if you caught a 15lb, 9oz fish you could search for double value 15. or 15.09.
If you want to be more exact though I would include the decimal and numbers following it.

If i caught a 15lb. 9oz fish, the game display it as 15lb.9oz and not 15lb.09oz.
I have tried as a double, i can get the first scan to show up muliple numbers of the same amount i have scanned, but as soon as i caught my 2nd fish, type in the digits and click next scan, it shows me 0 results. And i am typing the digits and decimals as the game displays it for me example 15.9 and not 15.09

I mean what type of platform do you use to play the game.
Web browser, PC, Xbawks, PeeEs, iPad, ect.
I found it on Steam though. I don't have $11 to help you out. Sorry.

scanning double digits is done using the float/double type (and sometimes the money type which is just 4 bytes that count the number of cents)
for this game that might not be usable though as each fish is probably a new instance, so a different memory location. And unless the fish gains or loses weight while you have it, it'll be difficult to find)

There is no general rule.
If you have no idea how to find it, it's recommended to search for unknown value and try increased/decreased value searches.

yeah i think thats whats going on. Every fish locates a new memory which resets the value each time

Just throwing this out there, but 15 lbs. 9 oz. equals 249 ounces.
I would search for 249 in both a 4-byte and float.
Less likely, but possible that the value is stored strictly as pounds (15.5625).
In this case, I would search for a float between 15.55 and 15.57.

If Cheat Engine becomes updated so that you could run a pointer scan without knowing the final address, then it will likely be possible to modify (the weight of currently being generated fish) or (the weight of currently displayed fish). With pointer scans like that you could switch items locations so that you can modify an item in a specific location even though items take different locations in memory.

I feel confident the game is storing the value as the total ounces.
Dividing the total by 16 and using the result for pounds and remainder for ounces in the text string.
You may get lucky by searching for the assembly code div 10 in the memory viewer.
Could also try searching for mov *,10 and finding a code block that has a div below it.
May then be able to scroll up and find the code that retrieves the address you're looking for.
