its literally a desert filled with fuckheads

tell me you're this awful of a person to generalize entire religions of people
focusing on individuals is the worst thing you can do. we are all part of humanity, people decide to section and categorize themselves, if they dont wish to be generalized, then they shouldnt join something where everyone shares the same beliefs and values

if i said nazis were terrible people you would agree, but I could also state that you'd be an awful person to generalize an entire political party, sure you could say that some people were victims of circumstance, but its the whole that matters. when you decide to take part in a bigger thing such as a religion you have to take responsibility for that. actions speak louder than words, so the bad muslims will always be recognized more than the good ones

wut

So basically you're saying all Christians will always be recognized as Nazis and they just have to take responsibility for it because they're the ones who decided to be Christian. I don't think that's how it works.

Nazis were atheists. Curch was againgst slavery, and any racial or religious discrimination. Inthe Islam it is a bit more wild because hey don't have 1 person in charge.

Oh really? Well my point is still valid though. You don't choose your own religion, you're basically born with it. You also can't choose what other people who have the same religion as you do or don't do, and religious people aren't just gonna convert to an other religion because some people are being bad.

no, because no one recognizes them as nazis, and we understand that what happened with nazis was an edge case. in the future, we wont always associate muslims with terrorism, if the extreme stop.

also christianity is largely associated with wrong doings such as the witch burnings and crusades, but they recognize that their past actions were radical and wrong.

you 100% chose your own religion unless youre in a country where religion is forced upon you.
and exactly, you dont choose what other people do in your religion, but you have to acknowledge that what those other people do also represent your own religion just as much or even more than yourself. and once your religion is being represented by terrorists, and all anyone focuses on is the terrorists, then you will be associated with terrorists because you share the same beliefs as them. thats the basis of religion, everyone believes in the same exact things, so generalizing them is an extremely easy thing to do

and tons of people convert religions, it happens all the time. even within christianity people switch from different sections when something goes wrong in their original one. beliefs drive religion, peoples beliefs can change

If you're born in a religious family your religion is forced upon you from birth. Especially if you live in a place where there aren't any/much people with different beliefs.
I went to christian schools and christian activities and had christian friends, and my mom and grandparents were christian so I never doubted my religion. Then when I was 12 I went to an other christian school and when I mentioned God some kid asked me "Who's God?" and that's when I actually started thinking about religion for the first time, and soon after I stopped believing in God. But if I had never met any atheists I'd probably still be christian.

I'm not saying people never convert, I'm saying they're not just gonna drop everything they have believed in their whole lives just because a tiny tiny tiny fraction of people from their religion are being bad. Especially in countries/cultures where religion is so important. They're not responsible for other peoples ignorance.

Also Christians are still murdering the shit out of people of other religions in the third world. You just don't see it in the news.

In Modern Standard Arabic, the term jihad is used for a struggle for causes, both religious and secular. The Hans Wehr Dictionary of Modern Written Arabic defines the term as "fight, battle; jihad, holy war (against the infidels, as a religious duty)".[20] Nonetheless, it is usually used in the religious sense and its beginnings are traced back to the Quran and words and actions of Muhammad.[21][22] In the Qur'an and in later Muslim usage, jihad is commonly followed by the expression fi sabil illah, "in the path of God."[23] It is sometimes used without religious connotation, with a meaning similar to the English word "crusade" (as in "a crusade against drugs").

basically some believe in the first definition, and other believe in second definition. jihad is often mentioned in kuran.

I think its pretty clear that all western countries are at a war or feud with islam in atleast one way. Islamic beliefs conflict with a free society, no matter what as long as these two groups exist, so will wars. In this politically correct world, the media are afraid to dub it "the war on islam".

When the USA were fighting in WWI, WWII, and Cold War, the media wasn't afraid to name it the "war on communism", so why are they afraid to name it the "war on islam" today?

To be fair, it depends on how you look at it. Myself, I am an offensive realist. The whole "war on communism" thing was a power struggle between two large powers in a bi-polarity system. Despite popular belief, the Cold War isn't really over. Ukraine is a perfect example of how these two powers are onto each other, only difference is the shift of power switched from a bi-polarity to a multi-polarity.

In connection to terrorism and now the current Islamic State, the United States is only doing this on a stance of offensive security. The acts of 9/11 (which I do believe is USA's fault, but thats another story) caused us (as in NATO) to go into the Middle East and take an offensive stance in order to make ourselves feel secure (selfish, and debatable about its necessity). The reason why the United States doesn't call it a "war on islam" is because its concerned of its own national security within itself.

TL;DR: America as well as NATO is flexing their muscle in the Middle East because of the erratic behavior that is the religion of Islam just to make themselves feel better. Media is floating up shit's creek and is pussy shit to say anything because of the funding they receive from large corporations.
