and I mean for customization and practical use of programs/apps. I was thinking that some Linux OS would be able to do a lot, and with steam coming over to Linux, I think it's a safer upgrade than say newer versions of Windows or an Apple product. I also don't like Apple and Microsoft's disclosure of information policies. They sell your personal info to advertisers. I hate corporatism to that extent. So actually this thread is just about which version of Linux will be the best for overall use.

Windows 10.

Linux is good for everything besides a Desktop OS. Even Linus said that Steam Machines are the last hope of Linux catching on as a desktop OS.

People are quick to hate on what they perceive as large corporate entities, but small companies can do the same things or worse.

Windows has always been user friendly and it's still the most used OS in the world so it'll always have more support and be more compatible.

I'll tell you that Linux is more useful in a coding environment. Other than that, I'd say Windows 10.

why are you soo special
what is soo lucrative about your secrets that you fear large corps

not only that
but you dont get how advertising works
yes its annoying mainly because it doesnt pertain to you
which is what corps are trying to do make it pertain to you so that its not annoying to see an ad but interesting it makes you want

everyone should be 100% against any form of advertising. its manipulative by nature. giving your information up freely to allow yourself to be manipulated is stupid.
