I think its pretty clear that all western countries are at a war or feud with islam in atleast one way. Islamic beliefs conflict with a free society, no matter what as long as these two groups exist, so will wars. In this politically correct world, the media are afraid to dub it "the war on islam".

When the USA were fighting in WWI, WWII, and Cold War, the media wasn't afraid to name it the "war on communism", so why are they afraid to name it the "war on islam" today?

In Europe only 1% of all acts of terrorism are done in the name of Islam. "War of USA" or "War of a nation controlled by the media and propaganda" would be a more suitable name.

The current "war on Islam" "war on terrorism" is nothing new, but the USA media is giving it way too much attention and twisting facts in order to make it more attractive to Americans.

Most of the problems are made by very segmented extremists/ criminal groups with their own personal motives. Not really because of a religion, but they might hide behind a religion if they so desire.

It is nothing new, criminal groups and extremists activity has been going for centuries, but oddly enough in the past years it has gained a lot of media attention, while many other political/economic controversial actions are being passed under the roof.

I think it is all being controlled by the USA government right now, they might be trying to advert the citizens sight into a romanticized war on something so that they don't look into all the shit they are making.
