Why would you want to to come to blue ray? Do you even know how this process works? They apply filters to increase the contrast to the original video, to make an illusion that it is in hd. They also apply filters to reduce all the noise of the original film. If it was in 4:3, theyll crop out the top and bottom and put black bars to make it "modern" 16:9.
That is totally not the way to go. Just watching the original show with the correct format provides the best experience.

I own many blu rays, dvds, and vhs tapes of anime. Ive bought the complete set of funimations orange bricks, three dragon boxes, 5 movies directed by the famous Hayao Miyazaki, and my personal favourite 5cm per second.
He isnt the only one who likes this stuff here, however, i can say after owning the funimation orange bricks that the process of converting SD quality to HD is horrible, thats why i dont reccomend getting it.

you're a gigantic fucking retard. have you seen the Berserk bluray upgrade? it was fucking amazing, and they did not remove the noise, and they also did not crop it. plus End of Eva is already in 16:9. do you even know what bluray vs dvd means? dvd is 4.7 GB max, bluray can be 50GB, that means not only can they have higher bitrate video of the original remasters, the audio can be lossless as well.
its not being done by funimation, its being done by a studio Hideaki Anno is running, so it will hopefully be extremely well done.

Eva is the biggest anime that exists, its literally the most mainstream anime in japan and can be found EVERYWHERE. when top 10 animes are brought up its always there.

its not digital, it wont just be "upscaled" its going to be scanned in at a higher resolution and the only grain that will be there is the natural film grain. I seriously doubt Anno would just release an upscaled version, it will most likely be a complete remaster from the original negatives (its what they did with the renewal DVD set). plus its still nice to have every single thing from the show in one set, on less disks than it would take for the DVD set (which was 10 disc)
sorry the only bluray tranfers you watch are shit animes done by shit studios
