Especially since not every art style support the soft lead pencils that blend easier. I think it looks pretty decent needs more practice with anatomy though. |

It's about the artist, not his tools. I pretty much used mechanical pencils exclusively because they were what I was most comfortable with and I always had one available during school. People seemed to enjoy my art.
If you can't make art with a mechanical pencil then it can be assumed that you can't make art with any other kind of pencil.

Well I did reference the manga, but i did do it in my own artstyle though. I actually went much beyond in detail than the manga wanted poster.

What brolock says is true, except if you want to keep it in a japanese dialect you would pronounce the R sound in "Roro" with your tounge starting on the roof of your mouth, since japanese speakers dont make the R sound the same as our R.

Yes, but not really. They have snail s that serve as cameras. Shells also are objects that serve as technology in a similar way as snail s. All of it is a way for the author of the story to retain the 1600s feel with technology while at the same time incorporating modern technology within the story.
Almost all of the technology in One Piece is on the level of colonial times back in 1500-1700, such as muskets, torches, canons, ships, etc... There are islands and scientists who are the "Leonardo Da Vinci" of the story who have technology that is modern, but the general world is still in "pre-electricity" days.

| I meant with the tpyo, Roroaoa. Couldnt find a way to pronounce it that felt natural or correct. Turns out it's because that's just not how it's spelled. |
