Cheat Engine

Hey everyone,

I have been using Cheat Engine and using the "pointer scan for this address" function, and it seems no matter what game I use, the scans always seem to be in the millions. I know that this is normal for the first few, but no matter how many I do the number seems to only decrease by a thousand or so.

I have been finding the right addresses and testing them to make sure, then in the pointer scan window I go Pointer Scan - Rescan Memory and input the next address I find after restarting the game.

The reason I'm not using write or access is because it constantly crashes my game, I did some research and found steams anti debug thing, and even with a few tests with different options nothing seems to have worked.

Restart your computer and do a rescan, and if you can, do a rescan on another computer, and try a rescan at several different parts of the game
All pointers that are left then are good enough (it's not like there is only a handful of possible path, there can be millions of valid pathsl

what you can do to make picking a pointer easier is sort the results
first sort the base, then offset 0, offset 1, etc...
after sorting them in that order the lowest level with lowest offsets will be at top

it can take a while and during the sort it can generate thousands of files in the folder of the. ptr

(veh debug tends to work with steam)
