I don't have this game yet, but from what I've read there is tamper protection on it and that's why there are no cracks. I'd expect that same tamper protection to make CE ineffective as well.

This game is extremely easy to mod. The debugger works flawless(veh debug) and there are no integrity checks at all
Check the single player cheat request section. It has multiple tables, including those that let you set your attributes (as a mage set cunning to 1000000 and everything will die in 1 hit)

I confess that I am at a bit of a loss. For those that think I have not tried to do some research, I am a fan of the phrase "read the *fine* manual" and I have made an attempt, over some 2 hours at least, to research cheat engine and have gone through the tutorial. I am very new at this however, and could still use some enlightenment.

To put it bluntly, when a script from a table is selected in the cheatengine window (and edited in the window) how in the world do I actually get it to run in game?

The only one I am worried about currently is the zoom scripts for Inquisition. I downloaded the table to modify the camera zoom and tactical camera in DA: Inquisition and followed the instructions as written:
