Depression will shorten your life more than any anti-anxiety/depression medications ever would. Unless you overdose of course.

Yeh and the meds fix that. Unfortunately there's usually something that's CAUSING the imbalance, so you end up just masking the real problem. Lots of things can cause depression though so the easiest/cheapest method of dealing with it is to just invest in antidepressants.

Ive been down the meds route, it got me hooked on benzos and I started cutting more. Fuck prescription pills unless it's an opiate or stimulant~

Did you perhaps tell your doctor that it made things worse? Part of taking antidepressants is that you have to find the kind that works best for you, which is sort of trial-and-error. Had you told the doctor about the problem I'm sure you would have eventually found what you need.

I was eeven seeing a psych, I talked a lot about my usage, I was happy for a period of time but then I started to abuse the meds. I'm not saying it's a useless route, I'm currently doing seeking medical help and such too. IDK anymore, I really fucking don't, same shit different day

Well, abusing antidepressants isn't a very smart thing to do... just don't do it again and you should be fine.

Ah, my meds are both antidepressant and anti-anxiety in one tablet, I forget that those are usually separate things.

Welbutrin for depression and Clonazepam for Anxiety. I was always pn 300mg xr a day Welbutrin, 1 24 hour tablet. And my clonazepam started at .5mg in the begining and ended with 4mg a day with 2mg pnr so i was doing 6mgs most the time or like, the whole bottle in a week and withdrawel for the rest of the time... It kinda sucked. When I used them properly it was a golden feeling, when I abuse my clonazepam I black out and have no recollation of anything, I've ended up in hospitals because of this, psych ward once or thrice too. Not knowing what you're doing and not remember it either is a scary feeling. Turns me away from those kinds of pills.
