Arizona’s first and only bitcoin ATM, which was only installed last week, has been knocked out of action by a lighting strike.
The Skyhook machine, which was installed inside the Bookmans Entertainment Exchange, Tuscon, was operated by Javelin Investments LLC.
Brian Williams, founder of the company, told <link removed> that the building was struck by lightning, which caused a power surge and knocked out some of the ATM’s components, adding:
“It’s kind of like getting punched in the face. I’m trying to pick up the pieces and trying to figure out where we are at.”
