I'd like to try some (permanent) moveswapping in Dark Souls 2 using CE. I can't post URLs yet, but the moveset was unused and involved a spinning kick (for tripping) as the first attack. How would I go about switching movesets?

Damn... wish I knew. That sounds really interesting and useful.
Imagine a demons great hammer with a rapier moveset. Watching this topic for information :^)

Unfortunately and also fortunately move-set and weapon statistics are linked, and weapon appearance and hitbox is separated. In general what im saying is lets say, as Connor stated you swapped out the stats of the demon great hammer with a rapier, It'd look like a demon's great-hammer, but do the DAMAGE of the rapier and swing like the rapier... its more of a throw off than an OP speed boost for the weapon. You'd actually do better to change something like lets say... Washing pole or pike to have the moveset of persuers greatsword or smelter hammer as you'd keep your massive strike range and do rediculous damage. That or give a greatshield the moveset of a rapier for the wide hitbox, but keep in mind that changing a weapon's appearance or stats also effects how its held. ex, giving a dagger the stats of an ultragreatsword will make you hold it as if its slung over your shoulder, and how shields are held swapping them to any other weapon's style you kinda gimp them out.... Try at your own disgrace.
Also due to the instability it can create in multiplayer i wont directly assist you in figuring this out, but i'd be willing to bet that the table used in ds1 for this effect is close enough to be converted for use in ds2. Good luck, and have fun.
