Yeah, I played Zork et al back in the day and MUDs for many years after. MUDs, especially, are pretty fun for techie types, since you can do all kinds of crazy scripting in your clients. It almost plays out like battlebots or something.

Ive played that too, I think everyone has at least once.
As for other text based games, I have placed a few of them but I am new to text rpgs, so I dont always know the best text commands for them. However, there is one rpg of text (if you know what I mean) that you can play that is really fun and addicting....its called A dark room adarkroom.doublespeakgames.co m
That game is made of text in a way, but still tells a very good story if you really explore the world it has.
