Cheat Engine

I've been using CE for a couple years at least just basically as a cheat for sp games i.e. come here and find a good table for a game, dl it, and use it. All of the sudden starting last night on any game I try it with I'll alt-tab out of the game, click the box that you use to select the process, then as soon as I click the box next to it to select the ct file I wanna use CE crashes immediately. Doesn't matter what game it is, whether my AV is on or off, I even tried reinstalling. Running Win7 Home 64- bit and have never had this problem until last night. Anyone have any suggestions or familiar with this problem? Thx in advance for any help.
