Cheat Engine

Hello, those strategies apply to many games but right now I'd like to use the one of them for the game Stealth Deluxe, some levels are unlocked only if the player complete 8 levels under a given time, so, what would be your strategy to achieve this ? What I tried so far:

- non cheat engine related: downloading a save from gamefaq or from a forum/editing the save/checking the files of the game (unfortunately the levels are in a ".win" file with the rest of the game)
- finishing each level with the time changed before reaching the exit: it does work but since I did each level already I don't want to do all of them again.
- changing the character x and y position to the one of the exit: for some reason it didn't work in this game, even if so it could be quite long to do in each level, especially since you can't see the exit from the beginning.
- something like, putting cursor on a unlocked level, searching for 1, then on a locked level, searching for 0, hoping that this way you just change it to 1 on a locked level and click, but it didn't work.

So, do you have any better way ? How would you do it yourself ? Right now I'm searching about this ".win" gamemaker file, since some people uploaded levels of the game it's probably possible to open it, but how would you do for games where you can't ? Thanks in advance for your tips.

edit: Just found that there is a debugger with gamemaker, it might help a lot but it seems quite bugged.

No i have no idea how to do it, but i'd like to know how someone else would do that.
My guess is that they don't use cheat engine.

In fact the uploaded maps are not from the game, some gave those names just to attract people I guess. Here is something else I tried: cursor on a level, I see 5 variables, on the next levels they are increased by like 1024 or 65536 or 1, so I put cursor on my last unlocked level, add those numbers... but I get from the locked level only its entrance/exit and its name, the rest being the previous level, likely because it's already loaded in the background in the menu.

The best is probably to do like for most hacked flash games or like I saw for tasty planet, that pressing a key win the level, but I don't know how to do that, shall I just scan for variables many times witch "unchanged" and at the first frame I reach the exit I scan for "changed" ? I feel that I would still get at least thousands of variables and that even changing what I have left wouldn't work.
