I'm looking for a good free protection for my computer.
Which one is the best?

I hear malwarebytes is good, I never use antivirus though.

I just use the Microsoft service and occasionally run a Malwarebytes scan.

avg is by far the worst av of them all. It's practically adware itself, not to mention its false detections.

I'd recommend Comodo Internet Security, it's free and really nice.

Microsoft's av hasn't been updated in ages, so I wouldn't recommend that.

Currently, I'm using ESET Smart Security 7 with a 1 year license information that I found simply by googling (and it has yet to expire since I've done it on Pi Day 3/14/2014(

Uuuuh. I'm currently using the built-in Windows Defender on Windows 8.1 which is the same as Microsoft Security Essentials and it's updated every day...
