gave me some errors and shit
bad sectors
went to frys to get a new hard drive, WD renamed all their drives so instead of a 2TB blue drive i got a "Mainstream" 2TB drive, open that up, its a fucking green drive inside literally, and not a blue
whatever pc is working now but i gotta chkdsk for like 30 hours to make sure all my files are recovered
idk if the drive is actually fucked or windows shit out, but just in case im going to back everything up

i mean for consumers: Mainstream, Performance, Network makes things a lot simpler (well maybe not mainstream thats a bit ambiguous) but i already knew all the color naming scheme
so is Blue or Green dead? because theres only 3 options now, and the dude at frys told me that the mainstream was a blue, but when i opened the fuckin thing it was literally a green drive
also what happened to WDs like half NAS half performance optimized drives, did those never leave that one conference in taipei
better tahn seagates shit tho, i never learned what the fuck a berracuda was fck that

They might have gotten rid of blues. This must have been a rather recent change because even their website still has the colored labels. Did they not have any of the previous drive models in stock?

they didnt have any
even on the frys website they only showed the new ones
is it possible frys is relabeling them themselves? thatd b fuckin dumb
and by previous drives models in stock, they did not have the boxes, but my drive still has the WD Green labeling on it ( even though i asked for a fuckin blue)

plus it was only $80, $5 less than the regular green drives on amazon
also, it does look like blues are dead, amazon doesnt have any
hopefully this means black will go down slightly in price to fill the gap that green and red & black had before

so ill only store games on it
