| So I am playing this MMO that is very buggy and a few months ago it was very simple to change values. The items you buy from the shop would have a durability so I would scan buy a new one and redo it a few times till I found it and then I changed it to what I wanted it to be and everything else I bought would come out the same durability I changed the value to. After an update I figured out they changed it so now to find the value you have to multiply the durability by 100 to find the value you need to use on cheat engine. But now when I change the value to what I want it to be and sell it and re-buy it the item is the same. Could they have changed it to make the items save to the server but then why would they have encrypted the values? So Im thinking there might still be a way to do it?

Multiply by 100 is NOT an encryption. It's just a different value type (The currency type. It stores the number of cents)

But before the update you didn't have to multiply it to find the value. Like if the dura was 71 you just scan 71. Now you have to scan 7100 and they changed it after to many people were exploiting it. Also its not the currency its just the durability on a piece of armor which ranges from 70-120 no more no less so its not like they needed a bigger value due to a big range in numbers.

Still, it isn't an encryption.
They've changed only type. Not big deal. Some other games had changed value type just after update, from single-precision floating-point value to double-precision floating-point value (e.g. Painkiller, health and armor).

But now when I change it the value changes, but when I sell it and re-buy it to refresh it the value goes back and before it didn't. Do you think the items are saved to the server so there isn't a way of doing it?
