Your cpu must support the intel-vt feature to be able to use DBVM (And it must not be disabled in the bios)
Check the details about your cpu to see if it can support it. But as far as I know, pentium D's do not support intel vt, and core2duo's are probably also too old
I don't know other apps that do this. Perhaps microsoft has made in house tools to do the this, but I don't think other developers can do this without a dbvm equivalent.
The branch trace store feature of the intel cpu is useless without proper process/thread targeting, and that is where dbvm comes into play. (CR3 change callback) _________________
