|
|
I'm trying to find the point for the strength stat in torchlight 2, and the offset I get for the pointer is [esi + 00000578]
Any help on what to do?
(once I get enough posts, I'll show a screen shot if that would help.)

Take the address of the strength stat and decrease it with 578 (hexadecimal)
That will get you the value of the pointer you need to find
(You can upload files)

So I went to a Hex calculator, calculated 088D0000 - 578
and I got 88cfa88.
I added the screen shot if that provides you with any more information.

No, you did find what accesses on 088d0578
So, 088d0578-578=088d0000
so look for an address that has as 4 byte value 088d0000

Alright, that makes much more sense, thank you. My last question is; Does Cheat engine always calculates the hex address too search for, or just in this instance?
Edit: actually that's not my last question, my last question is; Is there an offset, or none at all?

It sometimes calculates it for you, but sometimes it's wrong, so calculate it yourself then
Offset is 578
