I have some audio files with chinese/japanese characters in the Title/Author/Comments field, but why does Windows display these characters as gibberish while my media player displays the characters just fine? Also, in the file folder, why does only the file name display properly, and not the rest of the details?
I don't think I do, but if I need the chinese/japanese language packs, can I get them some way even though I'm using Windows 7 Home Premium? I believe I need Windows 7 Professional or greater to get them directly from the Microsoft site.
I'm using MediaMonkey btw,

Open windows update, go to optional updates, see if the language packs are there.
