Cheat Engine

I was using CE with Alan Wake yesterday all was good, I found the codes I needed and they all worked. I saved it all to a .CT file and exited. When I tried to load the file back up earlier nothing worked. Either the codes/addresses changed or I'm not doing something right.

1. I opened up the game

2. I opened the .ct file and it loaded up with the addresses in the lower window (with all values rest to 0 ?)

3. I opened the process/game in CE

4. I clicked all the check boxes in the lower window

and nothing worked the way I had it when i saved the file earlier. What is going on and how do I fix it?

did you find static addresses (green) or pointers? If not you probably have dynamic addresses and these change.

If it was code then it could be it's JIT'ed code (generated on first execution)
to re-find that, use an aob scan in executable memory regions

Damn all this is greek to me...can someone point me to a very good tutorial please on how to do this?

I just know to pick one of the last 2 results, double click it so it goes into the bottom window and change its value and or check the button next to it.
