How do I cheat?

So i installed cheat engine 6.3 but when i start it the error saying "The temporary scan directory ;C\Borland\BCC55\Bin\ does not exist. Check your scan settings" after that the engine starts but when i scan something it says Error "Access violation".. any help? could be something stupid since i know nothing about this. thnx in advance

Go to settings and set your own scanfolder path in a location you have write access
