Hey guys, I'm new here. I've been fooling around with CE for a while now and I have some basic ASM knowledge.
Recently, I've been trying to cheat on this fighting game called Ougon Musou Kyoku Cross. I am able to find the address for the character HP and mess around with it. However, after the round ends, the address for HP changes. I need to find the HP address again in the next round via scanning. My question is: is it possible to find the address in the next round without scanning for it again?
Also, just another question if you guys don't mind... The assembly instruction for deducting HP is the same for both the opponent and my characters. I have tried using the dissect data feature but could not find any address that distinguishes between both instructions. Is there another way to do it or am I doing something wrong?
Thanks for your help in advance.

what you want is a pointer.
Use the pointer scanner or do the (multi-level) pointer tutorial.

Thanks gras for the reply, pointer scanning seemed to do it! It is interesting as my main character HP is a 1st level pointer but my reserve character HP is a 2nd level pointer.
As for the 2nd question, I managed to find an address that distinguishes my HP from the opponent HP. However, it is a pointer. Is there a way to use cmp to perform the comparison? What I want to do is a godmode cheat. Freezing the HP is a godmode, but I want to try this approach as well.
if address is enemy hp
hp deducts as usual
if address is my hp
do nothing
