Cheat Engine

Hello, my username is Zikimura and I'm new here. I've known and used this forum a lot over the years whenever I needed assisstance with issues I used to have. I'm not very knowlegeable about programming, so I never thought to make an account as I couldn't possibly be any useful.

Now however, as selfish as it may sound, I couldn't find how to fix this issue, so I thought to ask you guys for some help.

Whenever I try to change a value (particularly related to money), my game crashes. I tried changing the debugger, and (originally) for VEH and Kernel I get an error that was something like-

Windows_Gold line 23: NotImplementedError 0x989680

I don't get the error anymore, just the pop-up of "RGSS has stopped working"

Anyone know anything that might help?

If your game uses the RGSS engine (you should have a file with the .rgssad or .rgss2d extension), try what I posted here: http://forum.cheatengine.org/viewtopic.php?p=5368946 , even though it's probably for another game.

Does it still crash if you change your gold to a value slightly below your legit gold amount (like setting 99 gold instead of 100) ?
Same question with slightly above.

Besides if you're just using "Change value of selected addresses", you're not using a debugger, so setting your debugger to veh/windows/kernel doesn't change anything.
