How do I cheat?

So lets say i have a game where i find a value and change it and it works, i start the game over and the value is at another address. How do i make the value always at the same address?

If the game where to keep crashing when i click "find out what write this address" what should i do?

Doing pointscan got it down to 8 pointcount but then when i reset the game those 8 dont hold the value anymore. Any Tips
