I like to think it's natures' way of preventing overpopulation, and taking care of orphans. If anything having gays as parents is awesome: they tend to do an excellent job on raising their children because they don't want to come across as less than straight parents. If I was an orphan, and there wasn't any kind of social ridicule, I think I'd prefer gay parents over straight parents. The odds of being abused emotionally, physically, or sexually are much, much lower. They make more money, and put in more of an effort to prove themselves worthy to the rest of the world. A friend of mine who's gay adopted a kid with his fiancé a few years back. Kid always had the latest consoles, and wore awesome clothes. I envied the little dude.
It pains me people judge them based solely on the fact that they're gay. They take better care of the kid than his straight parents ever could, or will.

if people reproduce too much so that our planet don't have enough water and other life-required supplies for everyone.

Given all the statistical data to back up the growth of the world population, it is bound to happen sooner or later since there is a steady increase every year to the world population. With the advances in medication, treatments, housing against natural disasters, prevention to them as well and so on, the world is expanding fairly fast with people living longer every year.
