This fucking thing wants my social security number and all sorts of shit I'm not going to give it. And it's giving me 14 days until my account is "restricted"
And then it says right below that while my account is "limited" I can still send money and recieve money and everything.
What the fuck? Are "restricted" and "limited" different? Which will my account become at the end of the 14 days? Will I still be able to send money when my account is "restricted"?

Thanks, I remembered I had 5$ in my paypal. I don't think theres a difference in restriction and limit here. You have 14 days until the limit is in effect, and yes. I don't fully understand what the loses of having a restricted account are. In any case, paypal sucks.

Of course this happens after I sell $80 worth of silver on ebay and commit to buying an item.

Yeah, I got this.
The restricted list is empty now, but once the 14 days goes by, BOOM, the list gets like a bazillion things.

I have pretty low expectations, the guys who answer your calls are always so sympathetic and optimistic and then you can an email the next day saying sorry, we're not going to help you.
I think I'm going to see if I can issue a refund to the guy who I sold my coins to and get him to pay a different account.
I hate america so much. remember when your ssn was that number that you had to memorize but never tell anyone?

It's for legal reasons to protect themselves as well as their users.
If you are that worried about giving them your SSN, then don't use their service.

When my family was dealing with PayPal, the credit card we had was used too many times before being verified. I could understand them saying "No, sorry, we're not going to remove the usage limit for it". But no, they told us to have a new credit card issued or they would limit us until such a time we added it.

| Give it. If you're under 18 your PP will be limited till you're 18, and if you don't, kiss your PP goodbye.

If they sell greendot they probably sell visa giftcards, which you can use like a regular credit card.
Pretty much how I buy everything online, I even pay my bills that way.
It's $5 for a card plus the balance you want, but it doesn't expire and it's anonymous (you can use any name/address), and the cards can hold up to $500, so if you have $500 worth of expenses, the $5 fee gives you anonymity and easy, which I find to be worth it.

i've used the visa giftcards too, they're nice and only take a couple hours to activate.

if you aren't 18 don't use Paypal.

Don't use it if you don't want to send your shit so that they can verify your account? IDK. there are plenty of other options, anyways paypal is shit.
