But my old employer was not too pleased that I didn't inform him I was looking around. After I told him the news about getting a better offer he flipped saying that he expected at least a heads up after working for him for seven years. Even calling me a backstabber. I spoke to him a while back to get my resignation letter, pay slips, and salary, and said that he would send them to me. This has been over two weeks ago since I asked him, so far I have:
- No resignation letter
- No pay slips from a couple of months in 2012, and 2013
- No salary from the last two months I worked there
- No payout of my vacation money
He's being a cunt. He told me that today would be the day he'd pay me, but I don't have shit. I told him that if there were money issues I'd be ok with waiting until he can pay me, but that I'd like a date so I can take that into account when dealing with my finances. If you can't pay me today, then don't say you're going to pay me today. All of the above is my god damn legal right to get, yet I'm being super cool about it and told him I'd allow him to pay me when it suits him best, given that he gives me a factual pay date.

| Send him a clearly worded letter telling him that you need all of those things and he has to give them to you. Nothing wrong with advocating for yourself.

Already did. His reply to that was that he'd pay me today, and that he told the bookkeeper to send me the payslips, and that's he'd get me the resignation letter this week. He said money would be coming in the 13th, and that he'd pay me then.
I'm getting pissed.

his bookkeeper probably didnt get paid either so doesn't want to work.
how can he not have money if hes an employer? you could easily bring the law into it, id imagine hes butthurt, but with thoughts of court costs above him he might actually do it.
