Hey Folks,
Just letting you know those of you using Trainers, Model swaps, cheat engine for Resident Evil 6 will no longer work for Update 6, Valve added VAC to it and even if you manage to bypass the anti cheat system you WILL get banned from Steam. DO NOT RISK IT. |

Then just get the cracked update 5 instead and play that, or perhaps there is a cracked update 6 with the anti cheat removed. (Really, anti cheat causes lots of people to just pirate games)
Also, vac usually doesn't ban if you play singleplayer only. If you used it in mutiplayer that's your own fault. (And last time i checked a VAC ban doesn't block you from playing games, you just can't play on servers that have vac enabled) _________________

RE6 doesn't have servers, its Peer to Peer. |

Then i really doubt they added VAC but just their own anti-cheat(anti cheat does not mean vac by default). Or the host has a flag to enable vac on his own playthrough _________________

I checked there is none, I would doubt that they let the host choose, because There are game modes where its versus other human players rather than cpu vs humans. Which makes sense to not allow a user to disable it for unfair advantage and/or achievement grinding. Also do not forget, LEADERBOARDs was hacked like crazy on RE5, so this prevents people using cheat engine to give themselves 9999999 score on Mercs. |

They did add VAC. It's listed on the games page. But as you said above they tend to only enable VAC during multiplayer sessions on any game that has it. But, it also depends on the game as some do have VAC enabled on single player based on how the server software is written.
VAC confirmed to be used on the game via here:
http://store.steampowered.com/app/221040/
As for banning, VAC bans are game engine specific. (At least for Valve games they are.) Meaning if you got banned on say, Counter-Strike, you'd be banned from every other Valve game that uses the same engine as Counter-Strike.
But the ban is only for VAC enabled servers, you can still play the game. _________________

That is the thing though, I did the same hacking algorithm that of RE5. Which is finding ammo, max ammo, health, etc. My table is complete, but now its obsolete since Update 6. I can hack Left 4 Dead in single player just fine, i can make clip sizes 100 rather than 50. But the same method on RE6 is not possible. Even single player is secured.
It will just be another game a refuse to buy, even the mods that allow 6 player mercs is useless now... |

VAC is only for online gameplay and if you want to cheat just play games with offline checked! _________________

Hey everyone. Just your friendly neighborhood MP hacker here.
I recently got RE6 on the steam sale, and noticed VACADUBANADU was loaded in the background.
Since I like to heckle my games roundly, I thought I'd give this one a go.
Since piracy talk is not allowed here, half of this fix will have to remain a mystery, but if you've got anything but a box of rox noxing around in your nogging, you can figure this out.
So, there's like 8 or so APIs to Steam.
ISteamClient
ISteamFriends
ISteamApps
ISteamMatchmaking
ISteamNetworking
ISteamRemoteStorage
And so on and so forth. If you're interested, the Steam APIs are packed with the 2013 Source SDK in root/sp/src/public/steam.
So, basically what those are, are interfaces for external applications to call Steam API functions. You'll notice VAC interfaces are missing. That's because the game itself doesn't care about anti-cheating. VAC works the same way your Anti-Virus does. It sits in the background and looks for naughty things.
So if you happen to have the super happy funtime version of RE6, use Resident Evil 6's Matchmaking AppID to aquire the match listing for the game, VAC would be none the wiser and would not start, because you're not launching it through Steam, you're just loading your super happy funtime version which is then grabbing the IMatchMaking data from the Steam API.
Here's the catch 22. You may be thinking, well VAC would just see you're playing a game and not using VAC.
That's unture. VAC only bans people based on reports. No reports, no bans. That simple.
While VACADUBANADU'd games will check if you're VECBEC'd, you'll notice if you're a keen reverse engineer, you can simple just NOP that shit out in RE6. So, even if you do get VECTOR BECTOR'd, you can still play the game, you would just have a VEAGENBECON on your account.
Since the VAC checks in RE6 are abysmal at best, you can get away with not running VAC on RE6. I guess they assumed if you were trying to play on Steam, you'd have to run VAC and therefore the client didn't need to check it. WRONG! Sorry, CAPCOM. I can see your code. It's not hidden.
But remember, I am also doing a lot more things to Steam I'm not willing to discuss/would probably get me sued if I wrote about it on a forum. So, if this fix doesn't work for you, don't come crying to me.
I'd assume this kind of discussion is OK since we've talked about shitting on PD2, and that's a pure Co-op game with SP elements. This could also be used to poop on the SP game and not get GAYBENGONNAVACABANAU'd.
EDIT: If you're a network guy, you could just run Wireshark and drop the VAC packets. Although that might cause problems with Steam since you'd need to know which packets are VAC and which are regular Steam calls.
This would be a more stern approach since you can physically see VAC being disabled.
EDIT: here's some strings if you want to have a go at removing VAC from RE6.
| Code: | .rdata:015168BC aVacHostSuccess db 'VAC: host successfully kicked member: %d 0x%x',0Ah,0
.rdata:015168BC ; DATA XREF: sub_52FE10+BADo
.rdata:015168EB align 4
.rdata:015168EC aVacHostBufferi db 'VAC: host buffering kick other member: %d 0x%x',0Ah,0
.rdata:015168EC ; DATA XREF: sub_52FE10+B38o
.rdata:0151691C aVacHostKicking db 'VAC: host kicking other member: %d 0x%x',0Ah,0
.rdata:0151691C ; DATA XREF: sub_52FE10+AE7o
.rdata:01516945 align 4
.rdata:01516948 aVacSessionKick db 'VAC: session kick because of banned guest (myself) 0x%x',0Ah,0
.rdata:01516948 ; DATA XREF: sub_52FE10+AA1o
.rdata:01516981 align 4
.rdata:01516984 aVacSessionDrop db 'VAC: session drop because of banned host 0x%x',0Ah,0
.rdata:01516984 ; DATA XREF: sub_52FE10+A86o |
Those should get you in the right direction. Follow your nose to find out where it's creating a VAC session. |
