I'd just comment on one of her photos (or rather send her a message idk how Instagram works). Just say something like 'Hey, how have you been! Long time no talk' or whatever. I mean, it's not like you ignored her when she tried to contact you, right? She doesn't have any reason to be mad at you if she didn't text you.
Or what did you tell her cousins?
