Been playing around with foods since moving into my apartment and have a new recipe for my breakfast. Keep in mind that this is a fairly small/standard bowl of oatmeal.
Ingredient: Fats/Carbs/Protein Cals

1c oatmeal: 6/54/10 300cal
1s protein shake mix: 1/9/20 120cal
1c whole milk: 8/12/8 150cal
1sp coconut oil: ~12/0/0 100cal
1sp butter(probably not actually butter): ~5/0/0 50cal

So a relatively small bowl of oatmeal for 32/75/38 and 720cal. This along with a banana(0/27/1 110cal) and maybe a protein shake(10/30/48 390cal) for a nice little breakfast of 42/132/87 1220cals.

So that works out to a 16.1/50.5/33.3 percentage split between f/c/p

This also does not even start to bloat me.

Just thought I'd share it with those of you looking at bulking. It'd work great as breakfast or post workout.

I'll probably post other recipes as I figure some out.

I love oats in protein shakes. My favorite thing to make either post work out or as a snack is a protein shake with oats.

A few other recipes you may like:

Peanut butter cup:

1-2 scoops chocolate protein
1/2 cup of maltodextrin (carb sup. Can use oats (I do usually))
2TBSP peanut butter
16oz milk or water

It varies with cals depending on what you use.
With water and maltodextrin:
Cals- 700
Protein - 51
Carbs - 82
Fat - 19

Banana Nut Bread

1-2 scoops vanilla protein
1/2cup maltodextrin or oats
1/2 tsp almond extract
1 banana
a little bit of cinnamon
16 oz water or milk

Cals - 575
Protein - 43
Carbs - 91

Banana Split

1-2 scoops vanilla protein
1/2 cup maltodextrin or oats
1 banana
1/2 cup strawberries
16oz water or milk

Cals - 612
Protein - 43
Carbs - 99

Chocolate Mint

1-2 scoops chocolate protein
2/3cup maltodextrin or oats
1/4 tsp peppermint extract
16 oz water or milk

Cals - 557
Protein - 43
Carbs - 93

I have a few more as well.

Remember when you bulk recipes some of the ingredients change proportions. I found that out when I made cookie bars long ago. Just because you are doubling a recipe doesn't mean that you just double each ingredient because consistancy changes.

So I just make two individual bowls of oatmeal if I want two, duh. I don't see why i'd need two bowls though, especially in one sitting.

I've done that and made oat flour for cookies. Everything about it is yes.

Worth a try but I don't know if chocolate protein powder would mix with porridge/oats.

It does. I'm mixing it together before cooking, and as far as cooking goes I'm just microwaving. It still comes out pretty damn tasty.

I just now read this comment again:

and I just realized he thought these recipes were for making food in bulk and not for consumption when you're bulking. Hilarious.
