So I got a new computer a little while ago, custom built. For the first few days it was working fine but pretty soon after I ran across some problems; my monitors would both go blank for a few seconds and say something about "no source" or something like that, then they would come back but any game I was playing would be crashed. A small popup in the corner would state that some drivers failed or something like that, but they had been recovered.

Not much of a problem, just a minor annoyance. But recently this has stopped, and instead the monitors will shut off for 5-10 seconds and then I'll get a BSOD. Sometimes I can see my desktop flickering on for half a second when the monitors go blank. Restarts after the BSOD, and then everything is fine until it does it again...

It usually happens every couple of hours or so, and while I'm playing games; but then again, I almost always have Saints Row The Third or Minecraft open, so it may just be random.

I'm on Windows 7 64bit and my gpu is an ASUS Radeon 7750

Any help would be appreciated

tl;dr: BSODs every few hours, wat do?

Perhaps your graphics card is broken, replace it with a different one and see if it still happens

I would agree with Darky, it sounds like its your Graphics Card. Hence the problems with your monitor's display in/out issues. The most common cause for BSoDs are usually corrupted boot sectors or graphical issues.

If the Graphics Card is under warranty, send it in to be replaced. This will eliminate that possibility. Before you do anything, however, I strongly suggest re-installing Windows. This will eliminate any possibility of Software/Driver/Boot Sector issues. Not to mention it would suck to send in your card, wait a month, just to figure out it was a software issue.

Alternatively, you could find the dump file, or go look under Problem Details after it crashes to see whats up.

As for not seeing the error, you don't necessarily need to capture it, every BSoD creates a Memory Dump (.dmp) that you can use. However, if you absolutely must see the BSoD in all of its glory, you can right click on Computer > Advanced system settings (Left Side) and under the Startup and Recovery group box, you will see Settings. Click on that. Now find the box that says Automatic restart and uncheck that. Now, next time it happens it won't automatically reboot.

Hope all goes well, Good luck!

If all else fails you could always call the hardware manufacturer, assuming they haven't outsourced their tech support of course.
