It is possible to have tons of results. Choose the first one (as the CE tutorial suggests). Or just use the pointer scanner.

Oftentimes, CE can't find the address with the value that's shown after the "The value of the pointer needed to find this address is probably..." message. Would someone mind explaining why not? If that's the case, what alternative routes are there?

Hi guys!

Im trying to learn how to find out the pointers. So im using the Cheat Engine Tutorial to learn it. Im using the Step 2!

First, i find out the address that show me the value. So i closed the tutorial and opened it again and checked that the address is differente, so i can assume it's a pointer right?

So....i started again and :

1. Found the address 0187DCFC
2. Clicked Show what write to thi address
3. Changed the value and obtained:

00422765 - E8 86A0FEFF - call Tutorial-i386.exe+C7F0
0042276A - 40 - inc eax
0042276B - 29 83 64040000 - sub [ebx+00000464],eax <<
00422771 - 8D 45 D4 - lea eax,[ebp-2C]
00422774 - E8 E712FEFF - call Tutorial-i386.exe+3A60

Probably Pointer 0187D898

4. Got the 0187D898 and checked "HEX" and scanned it.
5. Found a green address: 00690320
6. Double clicked it and check "Pointer"
7. Added "464" where it was "0" (offset)

The result was P>0000000000 ??

What's wrong?

So i manage to find my pointer just fine.

Can change the value of it and everything works perfectly. But If i got to main menu, or reopen the game, it goes back to ?? just like it would if I was still only using the base address.

How do I get a pointer that persists through relogs?

Is there a way to find out click on specific target which could be food wood stone etc. and find the address of that target.

I have attached the jpeg of the game Lords of the realm 3 which I need to change three values
(In red box left side Sword = Chivalry, Cross = Christianity, Medal = Honor)

So my query is can I find the address of the these three targets just by clicking on the same? value search dosent help cause it takes so much time to change these figures also it maximum and minimum limits are 7 and 1.

I want to change the stats of my pokemon.....

I know how to change them for the moment i am playing but then i close the game and cheat engine and it doesnt work anymore when i want to play again.
Everytime i start and try to hack the stats it doesnt work.......
Please help me......i get really angry having this problem...
