All 32 bit machines can use up to 4 gb of ram. So if you don't have more than 4 gb ram, there's no problem.
however, if you have for example 6 or 8 gb ram, you'll need a 64 bit machine. (or follow your tutorial)

i have 4gb of ram and 2gb on gpu, my pc is using 3gb of ram and 1gb of gpu memory , so i did that "trick" and now my 32bit machine can use up to 64gb (that what they say). and i wonder is there any test that can prove that it is using all 4gb of ram and 2gb of gpu?

For the 4Gb of ram, disable the paging file (system properties->advanced->performance->settings->advanced->change->no paging file) and start a lots of ram-hungry applications (different games, video players on HD movies, gimp/photohop with lots of big images...) and observe ram consumption in your task manager. When things start crashing/popping errors you've filled your ram.
For GPU ram iirc gpu-z can show gpu memory usage. I just couldn't get it to display my vram usage today, but I'm pretty sure I saw it back in the borderlands 2 days...Must be driver dependent.

I believe it will use the ram. (not sure about the gpu, but make sure your memory map is setup for 64-bit os'es in the bios)
You could check if the memory above 4GB is being used. First allocate as much memory as possible and fill it (needs multiple processes)
Then open ce, enable kernelmode query and read/write memory and open any process (even ce itself)
Now add the address c0000008 to the addresslist as an 8 byte value (hexadecimal)
Fill in as value 100000003 and open the memorybrowser at address 1000 should be readable. Check if it's anything but 00's . If so, it's being used
If it's all 00's it may be you just got unlucky, so check 100001003, and 100002003, 100003003, etc...

Task Manager>Resource Monitor
It will show the difference between total installed and total available.
It should say 4gb for both, if it says 4gb installed and 2gb available or something then your OS doesn't like it, if it says 2gb installed then you need to reseat it and maybe test on a different mobo/cpu to see if it's dead ram.
In your case it should be working fine, just explaining for anyone else.

all 32-bit systems support up to 4GB of ram for the whole system without physical address extension.
In 32 bit windows, an individual program can use up to 2GB of memory.
