So I want a new mouse that doesn't spazz out randomly and make the cursor fly into the corner of the screen like my current one does every 5 minutes, and I want it to have at least 3 bindable buttons on like the side or something.
I don't need too many buttons, I just want to bind my active items in dota.
Budget is $20-$50.

apparently there was this thing called "microsoft mouse" which was very beautiful and cheap too. Might wanna see newegg or tigerdirect. Newegg first.

| If two is enough I'd suggest going for a G400. Pretty damn cheap and a great mouse. You won't find many mice with more than two buttons on the side. You can however bind the scrollwheel too?

Unfortunately mmb isn't bindable in dota yet, it's reserved for spectator panning, I need at least 3 bindable buttons so a regular 5 button mouse won't cut it.
I was looking at the 7 button mice from razer, but they look uncomfortable and I hear bad things about the response.
I looked at the g400 and it says 8 programmable buttons?

A sculpted comfort grip, low-friction feet and eight programmable buttons keep you comfortable and in command.

From the picture I see two on the side, lmb, mmb, rmb, and then plus, minus, and some sort of application switcher icon, probably alt tabs for you?
If I can disable the plus, minus, and alt tab buttons so I can bind them in games that would be perfect.
Do you have the mouse and can you check out the settings for it?

| iirc you can't disable them or change them. The +/- is to adjust DPI and the middle thing is to open the mouse's software. Pretty dumb tbh. There really are no good mice that have a lot of buttons on the side. They all suck. Not really sure why you want to bind 1/2/3 to something else unless it's closer to your qwer buttons, but eh whatever. I suggest checking Zowie and Steelseries for some mice with more buttons. Fuck the other Logitech mice.

I enjoyed the fuck out of my Razer DeathAdder 3.5G but don't install its software just use it as a plug n play; it has weird problems where they randomly brick (happened to mine) and become fully unusable

This was a problem with one version, the new versions dramatically help the mouse.

| Only thing you can do is send it back but that means it has to be in warranty.

Yeah that's dumb.
I have 1-6 on the keyboard for control groups to micro meepo/creeps, the items by default now are zxcvbn, which is pretty ridiculous.
I considered binding my items to a grid like:
ty
gh
vb
But I balls up on the keyboard a lot if I move my left hand around, so I'd rather just keep everything within reach without leaving the qwer position and bind my items to my right hand.
Thanks for the feedback, I'm considering ordering this mouse and trying it out:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826465001
I can always swap it if it's uncomfortable or whatever.
