I'm pretty much desensitized to the weaker, notable horror movies. I just watched Sinister and it was actually pretty good; not too scary, but still good... now I'm really looking for something else. Any personal favorites, guys?

You haven't seen that movie? It's a classic imo, worth watching at least once.
It's like Gremlins... in that it's not really scary but it's not purely comedic...
Also I could suggest some "horror" movies that I like, though aren't really scary or anything:
