Cheat Engine

I'm trying to hack Winter Assault and I've managed to find the location of the float where current requisition is stored.

I do a memory scan for the address and find nothing. I then do a "find out what accesses this address" and wait for it to get incremented and get a bunch of hits. All of them suggest the original memory location itself as the location of the pointer needed to find the address. This is weird so I then go back and do a memory scan for the address again and get 3 results. However, when I go back to the game and wait for requisition to get incremented, when I go back to Cheat Engine the values have all become changed/invalid and I can no longer find the address in memory again until I use the debugger to go through the same process all over again.

Does anyone have any idea what's happening?
